August 29, 2008
A recent heat wave here in Portland, coupled with what I can only describe as an uncontrollable desire to sit on the couch and watch movies, has been the unfortunate cause of this site's slowing momentum.
But... I have it on good authority that things are lookin' up!
August 08, 2008:
I redesigned ThomasKenneth.com again (this being the third version since 2004).
I wasn't too happy with the old version (which wasn't all that different than the first) and I think this one makes for an easier transition between the two sites (that and this).
The 'big' changes you might notice: bio on the main page (refresh the page for a random picture), a simplified news section (which now just lists recent/current/future news items, such as exhibitions), a cleaner resume, and what I consider easier navigation (including a footer which re-lists the top-navigation in case you find yourself at the bottom of a really long page).
I've also included the about-graphic at the top right (the little striped flag looking thing that you'll find at the top-left of this page), which links to this site (the same way the house-icon at the top right of this page, links to that site). In writing this I acknowledge that these graphics (and this explanation) seem a little strange in that they're relatively random, but humor me--the house icon represents the main (or 'home') site, while the about-graphic is merely the about site's color scheme, condensed into a 33 x 12 pixel rectangle--it's all in fun.
August 01, 2008:
Even though I said that it was not going to happen, I went ahead and removed the placeholder pages and we can officially say goodbye to Mrs. Ipsum.
Another change you may notice is that the blog is now the front-page. This, like everything else, may change.
The Art World is absent, for now. (I’m working on it…)
Those of you coming from the main site may find this post a little repetitive, but I'm pretty excited about it, as I have been following Daniel Sprick's work for some time...
